Do u know what’s flag football? Do u remember the last MAFFA 1 Day Tournament? Well if you do, join us in this ever exciting an fun filled day at Bukit Jelutong to watch the best of the best of the nation battle it out to claim the rights to be called the champions of the 2009 MAFFA 1 Day Tournament.

However if you do not know, there is always a first time for everything and why not make this your first time for it is gonna be the craizest and baddest 1 day tournament MAFFA has ever seen. Will Theyhateus retain their #1 spot or will their rivals the Dawgs get them to surrender the tittle, will the Warriors finally show people why they were once the team to beat or will the Underdogs team, Stingers prove to people that they are the future of flag football? How to find out? Only time will tell so come one and come all to be part of this MAFFA 1 Day Tournament!!!

Directions to Bukit Jelutong [http://tiny.cc/ff_bktjel]

From USJ, take (can’t remember the road name) but it goes through SS 19 / SS 18 towards Glenmarie. Once you get to a T-junction, take left. Go straight until you reach another T-junction (you should be able to see the Shah Alam stadium now). Take right, and go straight pass the next traffic light. Now, keep left, you should see a sign that says Bukit Jelutong, take that exit.

Now, you will go straight pass 3 roundabouts. After the third roundabout, you should see several football fields to your right, and go right at the building (it’s called D’bayu), Go right again at the roundabout, and go straight, and find a parking space (the field is now on your left)

MAFFA National Merdeka Tounament 2009

We are pleased to announce that MAFFA is organising a local tournament which is open to all MAFFA members.

Event: MAFFA National Merdeka Tournament 2009
Date: Saturday 15 August & Sunday 16 August
Time: 8:00am – 7:00pm
Location: To Be Annouced

The registration fee per team is RM 120.

The games will be scheduled for morning and also afternoon with a few hours break in the middle of the day.

Note: The closing date for registration is Sunday August 2, 2009 11:59pm Malaysian Standard Time.

IMPORTANT! ONLY MAFFA MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT.

MAFFA Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2009/10

MAFFA held its AGM recently and the 19 members who’d attended have voted in the new Committee for 2009/10. The post of Vice President was left vacant until an online vote was conducted among the 19 eligible members (Please refer to related thread).

1. MFFL Post Mortem
- Meeting ON as planned for Saturday, May 9, 2009.
- Team Mngrs compulsory to attend. Team Capts encouraged to come.
- Officials/Referees team representative compulsory to attend.

2. MFFL All-Star Weekend
- President won’t be around for it on May 10, 2009
- The respective nominated Conference Team Captains to plan for the day
- All field making equipment is with Razeen & available for pick-up on Sat, May 9 during post mortem mtg.

3. MAFFA AGM – All can come.
- Tentative: May 16
- Location: TBD
- Club Presidents must attend
- Each Club to nominate 2-3 candidates to run for office in 2009/10 term.
- Pass the names to Razeen Khalid on May 9, 2009 during post mortem mtg.
